The Rochester Academy of Irish Dance

The Rochester Academy of Irish Dance is one of the premier Irish Dance schools in the area.

Teachers Rachel Burke, Paula Burke, TCRG and Kathleen O’Keefe, ADCRG take great pride in developing the talents and love of Irish dancing in our students.

Several of our soloists and teams have gone on to place at local, national and international competitions.

The Rochester Academy teaches students from children through adults at our studio in Brighton.

We always welcome new students, so please contact us www.rocirishdance.com

Six of our students qualified to compete at the prestigious Oireachtas Rince Na Cruinne, known as the World Championships of Irish Dancing, which will be held in Dublin, Ireland April 9th through April 16th, 2017. The dancers were able to qualify at the Mid Atlantic Oireachtas, a regional competition, which was held over Thanksgiving weekend in Philadelphia, PA.

There will be approximately 5000 competitors attending the Worlds this April, and the Rochester Academy is proud to be sending these 6 soloists, more than any other Rochester Irish Dancing school. All of the Rochester Academy qualifiers are able to maintain academic success, despite their extreme time commitment to dancing.

“We, as teachers, are unbelievably proud of all of them for reaching this level. We are so pleased with all of the hard work each of the kids has demonstrated to prepare to dance on the World’s stage,” Rachel Burke stated.
